Hi! Welcome! I’m so excited about this new website of mine! For years this random dude owned it, and I was never motivated enough to ask him if I might be able to buy it from him. I figured he’d forget about it one day, and I would swoop in and buy it for myself! That time came a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve been slowly building this site up.
I think it’s almost done. I’ve found a couple of weird things here and there, but I think it’s mostly running smoothly. I’ve gotten 10 sales over this past week so far! I’m really excited about that. Starting a new site is always kinda scary. Will I get traffic? Will anyone buy anything? So far, so good.
I’m still on Etsy, but I’d love to transition over to this site exclusively. I’ve been selling on Etsy for over 18 years now, and it’s not the site that it once was. There is very little handmade there and the community that was once there is gone. The fees have also gotten a little out of hand. I’m not going to leave it entirely, I still get quite a few sales over there, but I would like to try to drive more traffic to my own website.
I know blogging is a little 2009, and maybe I won’t be consistent with it. It’s hard to believe that I once blogged 5 days a week! I’m going to try to do it again, because I feel like it’s a good way to get to know me and my work.
